Polymer waste is often contaminated with organic materials that can give off strong odours. It also often contains admixtures of other polymers, which makes cleaning more difficult. Finally, due to the complex surface structure of 3D particles, there are numerous places where impurities can develop.
Effective cleaning of 3D plastic particles must achieve three main goals. First, it is necessary to clean contaminated indentations on the surface of the particles. This can be done very efficiently thanks to the hydrodynamic friction generated by our HydroCleaner. Second, a classification step is required to remove foreign polymers. This is where our AeroSeparator comes in. Third, any recontamination of the plastics by contaminated process water must be prevented.
